Four of the World's Leading Digital Platforms Join AIM's Annual Platinum Partner Programme

We're delighted to announce that four of the world's major digital platforms, Amazon Music, Facebook, Spotify and YouTube Music, have joined The AIM's Annual Platinum Partner programme, signalling that they will share the highest level of support and engagement with the UK's community of independent music businesses and entrepreneurs.

The Annual Platinum Partner scheme plays a key role in helping AIM to carry out our annual programme of events, including headline conferences AIM Connected, AIM Sync and AIM House as well as the annual celebration of UK independent music, the AIM Independent Music Awards. The initiative takes the four tech leaders' support for independent music to new heights, strengthening the independent sector through supporting AIM's work, and helping AIM's members to innovate, grow and break into new markets.

These four new additions join AIM's existing Annual Platinum Partners, Merlin and PPL, who have long supported independents through this and other initiatives.

Annual Platinum Partners enjoy a consistent presence at AIM's calendar of key events, regular meetings with AIM's committee of digital experts and other peer groups of independent music leaders, as well as special recognition and branding across AIM's annual programme and many other touch points with the independent music community.

Each partner will continue to host AIM Academy optimisation workshops for AIM's members throughout the year, helping members to build relationships with key contacts and perfect their presence and output on each service.

AIM LAUNCHES 'PLATFORM GATEWAY'

The timing of these key digital businesses joining the programme coincides with AIM launching its 'Platform Gateway'– a direct line of information between the key digital platforms and AIM's members. The newly introduced system will enable the efficient transfer of key insights and up-to-the-minute updates from the platforms, including optimisation tips, news, discounts and more. It will also facilitate high-level conversations between platforms and key players from the independent community, empowering music rightsholders to build strong relationships with leading global digital services in new ways.

The announcement comes just ahead of the launch of AIM's new Associate Membership tier, a free membership option open to every client of AIM's independent Distributor Members, providing an expected 100,000+ independent music professionals with foundational music business knowledge, resources, and now engagement with key platforms, free of charge.
