Showcase Artists and Final Speakers Announced for Selector PRO: UK / Latin America AIM is pleased to announce details of the showcasing artists from across the UK and Latin America performing at the British Council's upcoming Selector PRO conference, as well as an additional wave of speakers for the event, which is taking place virtually on 24 and 25 February, free to view for all. AIM will oversee this second virtual edition of the programme alongside the British Council and partners Biche (Colombia), Fundación Nuevas Bandas (Venezuela) and Niceto Club (Argentina), connecting independent music sector professionals from the UK and Latin America to foster cultural exchange and business collaboration. Representing some of the most exciting music coming out of Latin America and the UK, Selector PRO's showcasing artists cover a diverse range of genres, styles and scenes, from cumbia to electro-pop, hip-hop, trap and beyond. Two artists will perform from each of the countries, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela and the UK, reaching thousands of industry professionals across the globe. A range of new speakers are joining the free-to-view public conference from companies including AllArena (AR), Brownswood Recordings (UK), Latin Latas (CO), Llorona Records / Discos Pacifico (CO), Musica Infinita (VE) plus artists and industry figures such as Antombo Lagangui (CO), Edson Velandia (CO) and Pata Medina (VE). From record labels, management, publishers and the live sector as well as artists, these delegates have been selected to take part in focussed insight and networking sessions. These will aim to lay the foundations for long-term working relationships and creative collaboration through the exchange of knowledge, expertise and lived experience. This year's virtual edition of the British Council's Selector PRO builds on the legacy of the programme from the past two years, which has included live conferences and workshops in Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Venezuela, as well as a digital edition produced from Buenos Aires in 2020 in partnership with 432Hz.
