| | Love Record Stores returns for 2021, AIM joins as official partner After an epic first event which raised over £1 million for independent record stores to support them during the difficulties that hit retail last year, Love Record Stores is back for 2021. Last year's 24 hour stream saw loads of labels, artists, record stores and distributors around the globe take part including Nabihah Iqbal, Heavenly Recordings, Republic of Music, Stranger Than Paradise and Ghostpoet as well as special releases. This year, AIM is the official partner of the initiative, which was started and continues to be run by independents. The 2021 Love Record Stores event will take place on 4 September, five days before the AIM Independent Music Awards 2021. Awards submissions opened yesterday! You can get yours in here. The Love Record Stores 2021 Ambassador has been announced as London based artist and former record store employee Georgia (Domino Recording Co), an AIM Awards 2019 winner (BBC One to Watch). | | A wide range of record labels are already confirmed to participate in Love Record Stores 2021 with full details of the exclusive releases available announced in the near future. AIM will send information round soon to all of our members who would like to get involved. Given the UK government's recent announcements about lifting lockdown restrictions, Love Record Stores are confident that September 4th will see music fans able to visit and support their favourite physical stores rather than just their online websites. As ever during these times, though, stay tuned... | | | | | |
